Detox Your Body by Soaking Your Feet?
Since beginning my own personal wellness journey, I’ve written a lot about toxins and the harm they cause in the body …
Why? Because …
Toxins and other pollutants account for up to 85% of all illnesses, according to the CDC …
That and I’ve been directly exposed to some seriously nasty stuff in my time …
Including heavy metal toxicity from having surgical implants for over 20 years …
And working several summers on a farm spraying crops with “Roundup” – aka. Glyphosate …
You know, the toxic petrochemical that causes Leaky Gut, Brain Fog, and even non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma?

Yeah, that awful stuff!
I was even taught to stir the chemicals in a tank with my forearm …
No joke.
Needless to say, I have my reasons – both personal and professional – for investigating new ways to effectively cleanse the human body …
And nothing has worked better for me than a deep detox like the Niacin Plus Heat Protocol I did recently in Minnesota over the Holidays …
In fact, since returning to San Diego, I’ve felt awesome!
In practical terms …
I’ve slept better, had more energy, and felt noticeably smarter, which sounds crazy, but I don’t feel overwhelmed as easily, my focus is razor sharp, and I’m more creative …
It makes sense because your brain and nervous tissue are 70% fat, and – as we’ve discussed many times …
The nastier the toxin, the quicker your body locks it away in your stored fat to prevent further damage, so it’s no surprise that removing toxins helps your brain work better.
For the whole conversation on detoxification, be sure to read my Heavy Metal Detox Series if you haven’t already, especially part 3: The Real “Rocky” Detox …
In short, it involves taking an uncomfortable amount of niacin, waiting 2.5 hours, working out as hard as you can, then getting in an infrared sauna for 1 hour.
It’s effective, probably the most effective detox out there, but it’s a TON of work.
For these reasons, I’ve been looking for simpler, easier ways to continue detoxing here in Southern California that I haven’t tried yet …
And I ran across an off-beat method that doesn’t take up much time or necessarily cost that much to do ….
It’s called an “ionic foot detox” or a foot detox bath.
I thought it was total baloney at first, but after intensely researching it, talking to experts, and using one myself, I was pretty impressed. Basically …
You submerge your feet in water pulsing with positively and negatively charged ions that, in turn, draw oppositely charged toxins from your body into the water, turning it a rusty brown color.
Now, skeptics will argue that the water will change color whether or not someone’s feet are in it, which is true …
It’s what happens when you ionize water; those ions will detoxify whatever they set to work on, feet or no feet …
Especially if it’s tap water filled with 200+ chemicals like Chlorine, Chloramine, and Fluoride.
For the record, “feet-in” treatments always result in a different color of water than just running ions through water alone …
Only about 30% of the color change is the water detoxifying, and 70% is your feet.
Laboratory analysis of both the water and blood toxicity – before and after a “feet-in” treatment – confirmed that it removes high levels of toxins, especially heavy metals.
As a result, those who try it report some incredible results, including but not limited to …
-
Increased Energy
-
Reduced Swelling and Inflammation
-
Enhanced Focus and Mental Clarity
-
Better Quality Sleep
-
Stronger Immune System
What’s more, it triggers a deep relaxation response in the body, just like soaking in a hot tub!
Here’s the problem …
There are a ton of ionic foot bath devices out there, but the good ones range from $2K – $3K …
And the alternative – cheap Chinese units – actually increases your toxin load.
That said, the best commercial version you can buy, in my opinion, is the Ion Cleanse by AMD.
I interviewed their team at the Bulletproof Upgrade Labs conference a year or so ago and found they have the most research backing their device …
And, yes, I’ve used one.
I found it surprisingly effective and sturdy in design. Super solid, in fact.
So … what if you don’t want to invest $2K to test this for yourself?
Or risk further toxin exposure using a cheap Chinese unit?
Well … you could always build your own for next to nothing …
Seriously!
I discovered a brilliantly simple DIY design powered by a 9v battery that you could make at home for $10 or less …
And get both the negative AND positive ions essential for removing different types of toxicants.
It’s more or less an “open source” design, so I took the best info, cleaned it up for clarity, and created an ultra-simple PDF …
If you’re interested in building your own, CLICK HERE to download it for free!
This way you can test one out for yourself before you consider purchasing a high-end commercial model like the Ion Cleanse …
I mean, why not?
I’ll do dang near anything to keep feeling this good!
And, remember, you can always use BioRecharge! to supercharge your body’s own native healing intelligence if you start to feel fuzzy-headed or sluggish …
It’s 100% natural and contains 72 supernutrients that remove toxins and wastes on a cellular level, so you can flush your system faster and absorb more of the nutrients your body needs to function optimally …
It’s super simple, super cheap, and makes anything else you try – whether it’s hi-tech or homemade – that much more effective …
I use it every morning as part of my personal wellness regimen and any time my mind and body need a boost of real, natural energy … you should, too!
‘Til Next Time … To Your Better Health,
Theo
