Move Your Body, Fuel Your Body! “Energy to Burn!” Pt. 3

Welcome Back!

As you may know, when it comes to energy there are NO quick fixes …

Trust me …

I learned this one the hard way …

Embarrassing as it is to admit, I used to guzzle coffee, slam energy drinks, and load up on sugar for the “boost” …

That is, until my entire endocrine system CRASHED and I ended up more energy-depleted than I was before.

The problem is these are all just chemical shortcuts, not real ways to naturally produce more energy in your own body.

As we’ve discussed many times …

Your body runs on electricity, not chemistry.

SO, if you want more energy – real energy – then you need to recharge your body’s electrical system on a regular basis …

Using foods, supplements, and practices that boost electrical flow or add electrons to your cells.

To that end, we’ve been discussing some incredibly nutrient-dense superfoods and enzymes that do just that …

So check out Are You Starving Your Brain? and Joy in a Bottle? if you haven’t already and get your cells amped up!

Well, this time I want to focus on a basic, often-overlooked practice you should be doing every day to generate your own energy:

Movement-Based Exercise.

When I started digging myself out of the damage I did with short-term energy tricks, one of the very first things I did was start moving more.

As old-fashioned as it sounds, simply moving your body is some of nature’s best medicine.

We just tend not to value it because it isn’t flashy and we do it every day, but …

You have to look at movement as another nutrient for your body, just like vitamins or minerals.

After all, there is a reason moving, stretching, and exercising are good for you …

They ALL twist and compress your Fascia, that special network of tissue we’ve been talking about that routes electrical power to wherever it’s needed throughout your entire body.

What you probably don’t know is that fascia is “Piezoelectric,” meaning it generates electrical power when it’s mechanically stretched and compressed.

It’s why you feel an energy boost after a brisk walk or light calisthenics – any form of movement that physically stresses your fascia …

That stress starts pumping out electrical energy and charges you right up!

Wild, right?

Especially since most folks associate “exercise” with either an intense aerobic or strength-based workout.

I used to be one of those guys, enduring grueling miles on a treadmill or standing around in a sweaty gym lifting weights.

The problem is neither one teaches your body and brain to work together as a whole.

Your muscles never learn to talk to each other to accomplish a movement goal more efficiently, which is essential. Think about it …

Your body was not designed to lift weights up and down or just grind out miles on a treadmill.

Your wonderful body was designed to move through three-dimensional space.

It wants to. It needs to …

And this is where Movement-Based Practices come in:

Yoga classes outdoors. Group of adults attending yoga classes in the park. Healthy lifestyle. Being healthy in body and mind

Systems of movement that teach your body to work together as a whole.

Yes, I do strength training workouts regularly, but I always make sure to incorporate walking, for example, into my day. Why?

Walking hits just the right balance between minimal wear and tear on your body and fascial power generation.

If you want to step it up, consider a Movement-Based discipline like yoga, Pilates, or dance …

They’re wonderful for stretching and compressing your fascia for optimal power generation.

The BIG benefit to this, besides simply feeling better, is that any movement that crosses your body’s center line  – i.e. your spine –  makes both hemispheres of your brain work together.

Put simply, the more movement you get, the better you feel. As a result …

Movement-Based Exercise:

  • Increases cognition

  • Improves memory

  • Generates energy

You’ll find your joints start working better because they become more lubricated, your back stops hurting, sitting up suddenly is much easier, and things just start working better, in general.

I like walking because it gets me outside where I can soak up even more energy from the sun …

Especially in the mornings when I need to clear my head for the day and get mentally focused..

As I mentioned, it really helped when I quit drinking coffee; I got a burst of natural energy that helped sustain me ‘til I could refuel at lunch time …

Without the inevitable crash that comes from chemical stimulants like caffeine.

I find it’s great in the evenings, too, because it aids digestion and helps my body prepare for a night of restful, regenerative sleep …

It signals to my body and mind that the busy part of the day is over and it’s time to ramp down.

Whatever form of Movement-Based Exercise you try – and I recommend trying as many as interest you and you can do comfortably – be sure to stretch properly and drink plenty of the right kind of water …

And don’t forget to replenish those all-important minerals and nutrients your body needs to run like a well-oiled machine by eating plenty of organic, pesticide-free, non-GMO fruits and vegetables …

Plus some of the marine-based superfoods and enzymes we explored last time …

Just remember one thing if you want more real, natural energy every day:

Move more to charge up your cellular batteries!

You’ll have more energy and be in a better mood – I guarantee it.

And don’t forget to check out my new E-book: Supercharged: The Lost Secret Behind Limitless Energy for more simple, all-natural ways to charge up your “Cellular Batteries” …

So you have more energy and a stronger Immune System to fight off infection and disease!

Join me next time to discover another invaluable way to donate energy directly to your cell’s electrons as well as a fantastic reason to get outside and be more active …

‘Til Next Time … To Your Better Health,

Theo
