As we’ve been exploring recently, sound is one of the most drop-dead simple ways to passively reduce stress and achieve restful, deep-healing sleep …
So if you haven’t already, check out pts. 1-4 of our “Healthy Sounds Good” series to get up to speed …
Last time, we talked about how you can wind down in the evenings by balancing your nervous system with music made using the ancient “Lost Scale” known as Solfeggio Tones ...
Listening to these special frequencies takes you right out of that “fight or flight” sympathetic state and puts you into a parasympathetic, restful or healing state …
When you hear these uncommon tones, they “entrain” your brain and, by extension, your entire nervous system and body - with zero work on your part.
For this reason, the “S” in Vitamin S stands for Solfeggio, or more simply Sound …
Different combinations of Solfeggio tones not only lull you into a relaxed healing state, but also get you to sleep AND keep you there …
Well, how DO you use Solfeggio Tones for deep sleep and relaxation?
Not surprisingly, most people hop on YouTube, search for Solfeggio tones, and listen to them that way; however, it only works to a limited degree ...
1. Most YouTube tracks just loop a single sound in the corresponding tone or frequency, so you miss out on all the benefits true Solfeggio tones provide;
2. Most have no clear purpose - they’re just examples of the scale.
3. The digital sound encoding YouTube uses isn't great ...
4. If you’re using phone or computer speakers, the audio quality can be poor ...
5. AND you’re exposed to harmful EMF and blue light, which keep you awake ...
Fortunately, I’ve found a better way …
You get truly restful, healing and sleep-promoting frequencies in warm, enveloping songs composed by a professional musician who deeply understands Solfeggio frequencies and how to use them …
That’s what I’ve been doing and I love it!
I use a self-contained little portable speaker with actual push-button controls whose only purpose is to play restful, relaxing, sleep promoting Solfeggio Music.
It’s SUPER simple to use, as it should be, and has all the music built into it …
And that music contains ALL the Solfeggio frequencies, not just one or two ...
Even better, it has gorgeous audio quality and NO sleep-wrecking EMF or blue light …
This is great because you used to have to track down a CD player or download an MP3 file and play it on your phone or computer ...
Exactly what you DON’T want to be doing when you’re trying to wind down and sleep.
So, if you want to explore using Solfeggio frequencies for winding down at night and achieving deep restful sleep, check out Wholetones 2Sleep …
Michael from “Wholetones” is a professional musician who’s created some pretty amazing music that ONLY uses the ancient Solfeggio Scale.
He’s figured out the best way to incorporate healing tones into your evening called “Solfeggio Music For Sleep” …
When I want to relax at home in the evening, I just hit a button and it starts playing …
I start cooking, eating, reading - or whatever else I enjoy doing to unwind - and it’s all automatic after that …
There’s hours of relaxation and sleep-promoting music on it that helps me enjoy my “transition time” - that bridge of time between your active day and getting ready for bed …
I enjoy it so much that most nights I usually grab it and carry it to bed with me where it lulls me to sleep … and I actually sleep!
The fact that it's a self-contained little unit solves a lot of problems, and it’s a pretty good price for what you get.
And YES, a full clinical trial was done at the Center for Health and Human Performance at Jacksonville University …
It was a single-blind, randomized, controlled, crossover trial to test the efficacy of Wholetones 2Sleep music on the sleep and health behaviors of adults with insomnia symptoms.
Here is what the study showed …
1. 100% of participants who listened to Wholetones reported improvements in at least one sleep quality item compared to the control condition with no music.
2. 66% (about 2/3) of the participants’ ability to fall asleep within 30 minutes of going to bed improved when listening to Wholetones compared to no music.
3. 61% of participants slept longer with Wholetones.
4. 58% of people were less likely to wake up in the middle of the night or early morning while listening to the Wholetones.
5. 68% were less tense (ie. less tense, shaky, on edge) after listening to Wholetones..
6. 79% of study participants were in a better mood after listening to Wholetones.
7. 66% were less stressed after listening to Wholetones compared to no music.
8. 61% of participants reported sleeping longer while listening to Wholetones compared to no music.
9. 61% of participants reported sleeping longer while listening to Wholetones compared to no music.
In a nutshell, Wholetones 2Sleep is clinically proven to help you fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and wake up refreshed! Now, if you fit into ANY of these 3 categories don’t bother with Wholetones …
1. Magnesium deficiency
2. Blue light exposure at night.
3. Cell phone/Wi-Fi router on at night
The reason I say don’t bother is because you have to correct these 3 things first if you want any Sound Healing therapies to work. Here’s why …
First off, most people walking around are severely deficient in Magnesium.
Magnesium is a MUST for deep, restful sleep. Ionic magnesium is best, and I like to get the one-two punch of Ionic Magnesium with Molecular Hydrogen for the cell-repair benefits.
Blue light exposure, secondly, is super simple to explain; it suppresses Melatonin …
Besides being a sleep hormone, Melatonin is your brain’s master antioxidant, so the less Melatonin you have, the less your brain detoxes itself at night.
Once you’re exposed to blue light, your melatonin production is shut down for 2 hours, which is why you should avoid blue light exposure at least two hours before bed.
A solid start is a good pair of blue light blocking (not filtering) glasses, and you should consider using at least a reading light from a company called “Low Blue Lights.”
Lastly, any EMF is stimulating, especially harmful non-native EMF from Wi-Fi and cell phones that contain radiation.
Both flood your cells with excess calcium and your blood with excess sugar - 2 things NOT good for relaxation and sleep …
The easy fix is to turn your phone off at night and get an outlet timer for about $7 to plug your Wi-Fi router into; it will snap off at night and click back on again in the morning by itself.
Just doing these two things will drastically reduce your EMF exposure at night and help you sleep restfully … it’s that simple.
If you’re already doing these 3 things or promise to start, then …
