Welcome back!
To recap, we’re discussing how to remove dangerous heavy metals stored in your fat cells, especially your delicate brain and nervous system tissue …
Why?
To prevent you from losing mental sharpness, or worse, developing a degenerative brain disease like Altzheimer’s or Parkinson’s … good idea, right?
So far we’ve discussed mobilizing these toxins using a special algae called Chlorella; check out Heavy Metal Detox Series: Pt. 1 for the scoop on this amazing “superfood” …
Now, let’s focus on how to get those toxins out of your body for good, including a 50-year-old detox program guaranteed to heat things up!
But first, Be careful ...
A lot of wimpy programs and misguided advice pervade the internet on this topic.
One that can seriously harm you, for instance, is taking Cilantro.
Cilantro does, in fact, have an affinity for heavy metals, but it mobilizes them.
This means that it liberates metals from some (not all) of your tissue and adds them BACK into circulation in your body.
Chlorella has this same problem to a lesser degree, but it is still better at mobilizing heavy metals vs binding them.
I learned this one the hard way ...
I was so excited when I heard about heavy metal detoxing that I immediately drove to a natural grocery, bought a high-quality Chlorella supplement, and took a large dose of it right there in the store …
Turns out this is a terrible idea!
I felt AWFUL instantly … weak, woozy, and confused.
All I could do was lay down in the back of my car, hoping the feeling would pass so I could drive home …
Seriously!
Luckily, I remembered that charcoal is a strong BINDER and had seen some for sale inside. I staggered back into the store, bought a bunch of charcoal, and took a large dose. The symptoms passed in about 20 minutes.
As scary as this sounds, it’s a good lesson learned. Here’s why …
If you’re toxic enough and don’t take a binder - like Activated Charcoal or Bentonite - you can injure your detox pathways, kidneys, and liver …
As well as cause neurological damage or cognitive dysfunction, as it did in my case.
So what should you do to effectively detox from heavy metals when your body doesn’t want to let go of them?
Simple:
While this is most well known as the Infrared Sauna & Niacin Detox Protocol, you don’t have to use an infrared sauna.
You can use a regular sauna, a really hot bath, or even just work out to generate the necessary internal heat.
The problem is this:
While detoxing your blood plasma is pretty easy, detoxing your fat is hard!
And there are SO many downstream health issues that occur from walking around with stored toxins in your fat, as we discussed earlier.
Fortunately, Niacin - aka Vitamin B3 - is cheap and readily available almost anywhere.
Taken in small doses during the day, it’s great for your mood.
It’s even used in high-end hair loss clinics because it boosts microcirculation. Who knew?
Just be sure to use the “flush” kind; the “no flush” kind can harm your detox pathways.
What you want is for the Niacin to cause something called "Lipolysis" to occur in your fat cells.
In short, it breaks down - or "mobilizes" - your fat cells.
Again, this requires internal body heat, and any heat source will do …
Infrared heat is best because it penetrates more deeply into your body, in far less time.
Fortunately, many gyms have saunas nowadays, even infrared, so I’d go this route if at all possible.
To date, this is the best way to achieve a whole-body detox; however, like anything worth achieving, it's not easy to do.
The flushing itself can pester some people, and it’s a big time commitment. BUT …
If you're looking for a total reset, this is going to be the cheapest, most effective protocol available for most people.
To do it right, you should work out right before getting in the sauna AND do it 21 days in a row - or as close to it as you can …
Along with an extensive list of supplements to support and protect against the detox effects. If you already have a healthy baseline of supplementation, you can "cheat" a bit by taking binders such as charcoal, zeolite, or bentonite.
Many folks report near miraculous long term effects like vastly increased energy, razor sharp cognition, and weight loss that stays off.
I do it several times a year for these reasons. As I write this, in fact, I’m halfway through my New Year’s detox right now … it really does work!
Don’t worry, we’ll go over the entire process in detail next time - step by step - so you can do it yourself, the right way.
It’s so easy I’d say, “Don’t sweat it!” … but that’s kinda the point, no?
Til then …
Stay Healthy, My Friends!
